- Have you been kept awake by one of these monsters crunching rocks?
- Have you seen the evidence (upturned tables, sand and rock left scattered about and left in small piles) that one has passed through your town or village?
- Maybe you have even seen one at night and lived to tell the tale?

Wow, what a week we have had (week starting 4th March '13). The stone giant has certainly been busy as we've had e-mails from all over the east of England as it has been travelling around. A couple of other schools have also had visits and it appears it is the result of baby stone giants trying to find their way home.
Take a look at the most recent blog posts for more information.
I've just had to check on my school (I'm a caretaker of a primary school in Chelmsford) and it is a right mess! Tables have been upturned, chairs have been thrown around and there are stones and rocks everywhere.
ReplyDeleteHow can I tell if it's a rock giant or just kids mucking about?
I am sure it was a stone giant in year 3 at St johns meads because none of the children new about it until we came in from playtime. it was very exciting but a bit scary! we received a email from are teacher saying he went into the staff room for a biscuit but there was only crumbs left!
ReplyDeleteI am the person as the anonymous 15th of march, I just wanted to say that y3 St johns are going to try and trap one tomorrow. 18th of march I think.by the way I did a massive power point about stone giants. we are going to leave it over night and see if it has gone! where is the best place near meads near the school to try and trap a stone giant?
ReplyDeleteSorry for late reply but we seem to have them back again and we've been out all night! I hope you manage to catch yours soon. It is important to remember to find a quiet spot in a corner. If you have prime bacon and follow the instructions from the ministry you could actually use a bucket. It is the most incredible sight to see this huge hunk of rock disintegrate into something so small! I must give you a word of caution though. Never do this without adults around and never have children waiting to see them fall into the trap as they can be very distracting for a stone giant! Good luck to you, anonymous, in Meads! Remember the Ministry are there for you as are we if you need us!
ReplyDeletethanks for the reply. okay I will tell my teacher today to trap them in a quite corner! I actually got 2 rewards for my comments on here. you can leave meat right. I love stone giants! how many stone giants have you caught?
